EMPOWER EVANGELISM CONFERENCE: Women’s speaker Susie Hawkins busy as grandmother, Bible teacher

Susie Hawkins, a scheduled speaker at the Women’s Session of the SBTC Empower Evangelism Conference Feb. 6 at First Baptist Church of Euless, lives in Dallas and has been actively involved in women’s ministry as a pastor’s wife, teacher and volunteer.

 

She has also served as the director of women’s ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano. She teaches a weekly Bible study for business women in downtown Dallas, speaks at women’s conferences and retreats, and is a contributor to various publications, including SHINE magazine. 

 

Hawkins, wife of O.S. Hawkins, president of GuideStone Financial Resources of the Southern Baptist Convention, has a master of arts in Christian leadership from Criswell College, where she is currently pursuing a master of theology degree. She also co-teaches a class in Women’s Studies at Criswell College. She is the mother of two married daughters, Wendy and Holly, as well as a grandmother of three. 

 

She lists among her favorite things bargain hunting, lunching with friends and being a grandmother.
