When a church makes a request for consultation the following steps will be followed:

• (1)      Fill out a questionnaire that we may determine the church’s needs and possible specialist needs.
• (2)      For construction projects, our Facilities Consultation Specialist will take care of an on-site evaluation of the church’s needs and make written recommendations and possible options to meet those needs.  This is a one time on-site visit and written recommendation (SBTC funded).
• (3)      Using NAMB’s financing consultation or Eklund’s Capital Raising Campaign will be encouraged concerning financial needs.
• (4)      If construction plans are decided, the church takes full responsibility from this point in making all arrangements for professional assistance (i.e. architect, project engineers, etc.)
• (5)      If desired, SBTC Baptist Builder teams are available to work with the church’s project representative.
• (6)      If Baptist Builders are used the Baptist Builders Consultant will be contacted to work with the church’s representative to determine what is needed, working out details and will follow-up in their use.

FACILITIES CONSULTATION SPECIALIST (Church Ministries Department)

• (1)      Develop and evaluate questionnaires.
• (2)      Responsible for the one day on-site evaluation (SBTC funded) recommending facilities options, budget needs, possible architects, project engineers, financing options, fund raising options, etc.
• (3)      Any further arrangements for professional assistance (i.e. architects, engineers, etc.) are solely the responsibility of the church.

BAPTIST BUILDERS CONSULTANT (Missions Department)

• (1)      Develop network of specialized builders teams.
• (2)      Work with churches and their project representative with their needs for volunteer builder teams.
• (3)      Follow up with SBTC involvement until projects are complete.
