Check back later for information on Discovery Day 2009.

What is Discovery Day?

Discovery Day occurs usually around the 3rd week of January in which churches across Texas will strive for high attendance in Sunday School or Small Group Ministry.

Is it just High Attendance Day?

No, it’s much more!  Use Discovery Day to best fit your church community.

Here are some ideas to add to High Attendance Day:

  • January is Sanctity of Life month.  Provide church members the opportunity to bring items to the church in January which your local Pregnancy Resource Center needs.  These items include baby clothes, baby toys, diapers, and formula.  Contact your closest Pregnancy Resource Center to find out their needs.  A link has been provided to a Pregnancy Resource Center Directory so that you can find the PRC closest to your church.
  • Make Discovery Day a day to begin new classes and groups.  This being the beginning of a new year people are ready to try something new and maybe even leave their comfort zone.  This is a perfect day to begin new classes, small groups, or ministry opportunities.
