at SWU/ SLT summer camp
July 19-24, 2010
COST- $120 (class and books)
Students must be at least 16 years of age to participate
This registration relates only to The Criswell College classes offered in affiliation with the SBTC SWU and SLT camps, July 19-24, 2010.
The combined cost for The Criswell College class and books are determined by the school and will be IN ADDITION TO the SBTC camp fee.
While all of the classroom instruction will take place during the week of SWU/SLT, it is possible that a book report, camp journal, or other writing assignment following the conclusion of the camp might be necessary to complete the required course-work to earn the three hours of college accreditation.
COURSES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
* STRATEGIC STUDENT MINISTRY PLANNING – STM 320
Instructor - BB Alvarez
A study of the philosophy, audiences and principles of effective youth/student ministry including processes, resources and methods employed by the youth/student minister in developing a comprehensive strategy of youth/student ministry.
* CURRENT ISSUES IN STUDENT MINISTRY – EDU 440
Instructor – Doug Wood
Through discussion, observation, interviews, research, and reading, a study will be made of the development processes of youth to determine characteristics, problems, life situations, and moral/religious needs. The purpose of this course is to guide students in understanding and creatively relation to contemporary youth issues.
